The Founder
Helping providers survive the audit

Claims get submitted every day. Surviving a review is the hard part.
Whether you run a DME operation, a home health agency, a lab, or a clinic, the exposure is the same: a payer review lands, a recoupment threatens the business, and four quiet gaps decide the outcome.
Documentation gaps
The record does not tell the story the payer's criteria demand, so a payable claim reads as unsupported.
Missing proof of delivery
The item reached the patient, but the file cannot prove it, and in DME that alone loses the claim.
Weak orders
Standard written orders that are incomplete, inconsistent, or unsigned turn every downstream claim fragile.
Unsupported modifiers
Modifiers applied by habit rather than by the record invite the exact scrutiny they were meant to avoid.
From growing practices to defending their revenue
“Sustainable revenue comes from proper billing, strong documentation, and strict compliance, not from shortcuts that invite audits and recoupments.”

Healthcare marketing and business development
Usman's path in U.S. healthcare began nearly a decade ago on the growth side, learning how providers win patients and what earns their trust.
Founding Marketing Next
He founded Marketing Next to serve healthcare providers, building the operator's view of how practices actually run.
Clients handed him their billing
When those same clients asked him to take over their medical billing, he built the revenue cycle capability that became NextRCM.
Building NextRCM
He expanded the company into compliance, coding, credentialing, audit support, technology, and complete business setup, with DME as the flagship specialty.
Today
Usman leads NextRCM as a specialist-led partner to healthcare organizations across the United States, working alongside independent attorneys, compliance professionals, and accreditation firms. He is a graduate of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA).
What Usman is brought in for
Five kinds of engagement, one habit: he reads the record the way a payer's reviewer will, and tells you plainly what he finds.
Audit response, from the letter to the appeal
When a RAC, TPE, CERT, UPIC, SMRC, or DME MAC letter arrives, Usman helps you understand what the audit is really about, organize the records, and respond on deadline.
What he looks at
- The audit letter: contractor, audit type, and the exact rule cited
- Chart-to-criteria documentation review against the governing LCD, NCD, and policy articles
- ADR packaging, deadline tracking, and narrative preparation, for prepay and postpay reviews
- Coding and modifiers on the audited claims
- Appeal posture at every level: redetermination, reconsideration, ALJ
What you walk away with
- A defensible, on-time response built around the rule the audit cites
- An honest read on where the exposure sits before you respond
- A corrective action plan so the finding does not repeat
Consultancy, not legal advice. Where a case needs legal representation, NextRCM coordinates with independent healthcare attorneys.
The lines he does not cross are the reason the work holds up
“I do not fabricate, backdate, or lead providers. I make sure the medical record tells the truth clearly and completely, so the provider is in the strongest defensible position possible.”
The record tells the truth
His job is to make the documentation say clearly what actually happened, not to make it say what a payer wants to hear.
U.S.-side oversight
Payer-facing determinations and final billing and compliance decisions stay under U.S. supervision.
Built for the long term
Back-office operations run on Business Associate Agreements and minimum-necessary access, because doing it right is the only thing that protects revenue for the long term.
How an engagement runs
Discovery call
You describe what is happening: an audit letter, a denial spike, a new DME, numbers that drifted. No cost, no obligation.
Focused review
He reviews the relevant records, claims, or process against the payer's own rules, not generic best practice.
Findings, plainly
You get an honest read: where the risk sits, what to fix first, and what can wait.
The work
Respond, appeal, or remediate with the NextRCM team behind it, with independent healthcare attorneys coordinated where legal representation is needed.

Put your revenue in front of him
A short discovery call is enough to know whether the risk is real and what to do about it. Business inquiries only; we never discuss patient information over the web.
